Just days after a girl was gang raped in Damak, Jhapa another girl of the same town almost faced a similar tragedy.

The 19-year-old was returning home when she was followed and intercepted by a boy near the Dumse forest, who then invited his friends to join him.

However, the girl raised an alarm as the boys tried to undress her and thanks to locals who made a commotion that forced the boys to run away.

Police have arrested three of the youths on the charge of attempted rape while the others are at large.
