Boy gang robbed store for champagne – twice!

In October, a group of four boys forced their way into Spirited Wines in Highgate High Street, Highgate, pushed shop manager Charles Verdier over and ran off with five bottles of champagne worth £500.

The theft was the second to happen in a week after the same group stole one bottle days earlier.

The store has been targeted by thieves three times since then, and premium alcohol such as cognac and champagne worth almost £700 has been stolen.

On Tuesday of last week a moped-riding robber stole more than £100 worth of spirits from an off-licence and almost caused a road accident during his getaway.

Preteen kids tried to rob woman in Central Park

Police were looking for two young kids who attempted to steal a woman’s purse and cellphone Monday night in Central Park — with one of the suspects described as being as young as 10 years old, police said.

The 38-year-old woman was walking through the eastern part of the park, near Fifth Avenue and 107th Street, about 8 p.m. when a young thug, described as between 12 and 14 years old, approached her and demanded that she give up her cellphone, police said.

The woman refused, at which point a second suspect, who looked like he was between 10 and 11 years old, tried to grab her purse, cops said.

The victim held on to her purse and both suspects fled. There were no reported injuries.

Teenage boy snatched cell phones from younger boys

Over the past month, a Mariners Harbor teen mugged two younger boys in separate incidents on the North Shore, prosecutors allege.

Haneef Saka, of Davidson Street, first struck on March 17, about 3:50 p.m., according to court papers. That victim was 14, a law enforcement source said.

According to court papers and the source, Saka punched the victim, knocking him over a railing behind a bagel store on the 1800 block of Forest Avenue in Graniteville.

The suspect, aided by an unidentified accomplice, then snatched two cell phones from the younger boy’s pocket and fled, court documents said.

The second incident occurred April 8, about 1:15 p.m. Saka approached the 16-year-old youth on Belmont Place, St. George, and snatched his gold chain, court papers stated.

When the boy tried to take back his jewelry, Saka punched him about the face and body before fleeing, court documents state.

Saka was arrested Thursday and charged with multiple felony robbery counts, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan said. Saka is also accused of misdemeanor counts of assault, attempted assault, petit larceny and stolen-property possession, along with lesser counts of harassment.

Teen motorcycle boys with homemade guns attacked young women on the street – needed money for drugs

Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested and charged with robbing young women at gunpoint and stealing their cash, other valuables and motorcycles.

The proceeds from the robberies were use to buy drugs, according to police.

The two, identified only as Yo and Man, were apprehended on Tuesday night as they closed in on their 10th victim, police said.

Police seized from them six motorcycles, two thai pradit (homemade) handguns, three mobile phones, a digital camera and three full face helmets.

The teenage robbers targeted only female students who were riding on motorcycles around tambon Khun Thalay. Their favourite tactic was to ride up alongside the women and then kick their motorbike to make them fall off or lose control.

They admitted having robbed at least nine women a month and said most of the cash and money from selling the stolen bikes was spent on drugs.

Four boys (13, 13, 14 and 17) tied up delivery driver and stole her van

A 24-year-old woman doing a delivery in the area was confronted by four boys who forced her at gunpoint into a home and tied her up, then stole her car and took an undetermined amount of cash, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The victim had injuries that were not life-threatening and was treated and released.

Her red 2005 Mazda was found in the parking lot of a business in Las Vegas.

Pete Spray, 17, of Exeter was booked into Las Vegas Juvenile Hall after being arrested over the weekend there.

Monday, U.S. marshals in Las Vegas found and arrested Logan Heath and Ronald Jones, both 13, and Wyatt Valle, 14, who were linked to the carjacking.

A Manitoba teen recently sentenced for battering a relative’s puppy with a golf club and severing its head with a garden chisel has been convicted in a cruel attack on a mentally challenged Winnipeg man committed while out on probation last summer.

The youth, 16, was convicted after a three-day trial Friday of several charges including assault and break, enter to commit robbery relating to an odd, apparently pack-influenced crime on July 26, 2012.

The 24-year-old victim was out for a walk near Kildonan Place when he was confronted by four youths on bikes.

The accused took a lead role, produced a knife and threatened to kill the vulnerable man if he didn’t hand over his iPhone, court heard.

The victim pleaded with his assailants to allow him to keep the phone as it was recently given to him by his mother and was a direct lifeline for him.

He offered the youths other items in its place and the accused agreed. The pack marched him over to his apartment at knifepoint and were let inside under threat of violence.

Once there, the man’s home was ransacked and items stolen. The victim was held down and punched in the face by the accused while another held a knife to his throat.

In the end, they took the man’s iPhone anyway.

The teen was high on marijuana in July 2011 when he threw a rock and injured a three-month-old Shepherd mix puppy which was being cared for by a cousin.

He returned later to hit the dog with the club and decapitate it before bringing his relative over to show her what he did.

Five teens stole car – crashed it into police van

Five teenagers were the subject of a massive police hunt on the Bellarine Peninsula after allegedly slamming a stolen car into a police van.

The Melbourne dog squad and a police helicopter were called in to search through Drysdale bush and paddocks after the teens fled the crash scene.

The drama began about 3.30pm on Monday when an officer was following up reports of hoons driving in Soho Rd, Drysdale.

Bellarine police Leading Senior Constable Roger Lawry noticed the teens attempting to fix a blown tyre by the roadside.

Police said he identified the vehicle as a Nissan Pulsar allegedly stolen from a house in Grovedale.

When he approached, the teens drove off.

The car was then seen turning out of a driveway in Andersons Rd.

Police allege that when Sen-Constable Lawry attempted to block the group’s escape, the driver rammed into the police van.

All five occupants then fled on foot.

Three boys allegedly separated and hid in bushes and paddocks, with one leading police on a foot chase along a creek bed.

Two boys were arrested and another allegedly surrendered after the dog squad surrounded his bush hiding spot shortly before 6pm.

A 14-year-old boy yesterday faced court over the incident.

It is alleged they stole the car before taking a joy ride on the Great Ocean Road and stealing petrol.

During the hunt, all police units on the Bellarine Peninsula and some from Geelong scoured the search area on foot. Officers have since worked around the clock on the subsequent investigation.

Honolulu police arrested a nine-year-old boy after he attempted to rob a convenience store in Kalihi.

The incident happened at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say the boy entered the store, brandished a dangerous instrument, and threatened a 58-year-old woman.

The boy then opened a Dibs ice cream display freezer and checked to see if any products were inside.

The display was empty and the boy fled the store without any merchandise.

Police arrested the boy for first-degree robbery a couple hours later.

He was released pending further investigation.

A 14-year-old boy, who has admitted stealing a body-building food supplement, has been remanded on bail.

The teenager pleaded guilty at Dublin Children’s Court to stealing Creatine tablets, worth €23, from Holland & Barrett in St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre.

The court heard the boy is out of school. Last August, he had been detained for three months after he was caught supplying heroin and was also found with 20 cannabis deals hidden inside a hollowed-out egg.
