Boy, 14, played with his gun – accidentally shot himself in the hand

Young teenage boy shirtless

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department says a 14-year-old was taken to the hospital after he accidentally shot himself in the hand.

Deputies say the teenager was trying to clear a malfuntion of a .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun when his hand moved in front of the muzzle of the weapon and the gun went off.

Deputies say the boy’s hand was “grazed” by the bullet. He was taken to a La Crosse hospital with minor injuries.

The teen had been target shooting at the time of the incident. There is no indication of foul play and the shooting appears to have been unintentional.

12 middle schoolers swallowed an unknown white pill

Middle school boys shirtless playing in bed

A 10-year-old Christchurch boy watched 12 of his classmates swallow an unknown white pill around the back of the bike sheds before school this morning.

Some of the pupils swallowed the pills and a few spat them out, he said.

“They were white, long and oval in a pink slidey case that had writing on it.”

His classmates were “walking around and just acting fine” after they had taken them.

One of the pupils who was involved decided to tell a teacher about the pills before the 9am bell rang.

The 12 pupils who had swallowed a pill were quickly identified and collected from a number of different classrooms.

The children were taken to the school office and St John ambulance was called.

The pupils were taken to hospital at 10.10am after paramedics were alerted.

The 12 pupils sent to hospital after taking mystery pills have been discharged, after testing revealed the tablets were a herbal remedy.

15-year-old boy declared pregnant – sues hospital

Pregnant teenage boy shirtless in speedos, Kazakhstan

A 15-year-old Kazakh boy was recently declared pregnant, given a handful of erroneous medical prescriptions and a bill for 50,000 tenge ($330).

Of course, Baizhan Aldashev was never really pregnant.

But the boy was pronounced “with child” at a hospital in Aktobe city, where he was treated for kidney problems.

The teenager was discharged with a medical prescription that listed pregnancy among his health issues.

The prescription was a mistake by an overworked doctor, not a medical discovery of the millennium, the hospital’s director explained.

The confused teenager still took the prescribed medication for a while, which gave him a severe allergy while doing nothing to alleviate kidney problems.

The Aldashevs sued the hospital for 10 million tenge ($66,000), but the court slashed the sum upon reviewing the case.

Teenage boy survives 9 weeks in the bush

Shirtless teenage boy in speedos or underwear, no penis or genitalia visible

An Australian teenager who wanted to “run away from his life” survived nearly 9 weeks in the bush near Sydney before being discovered by hikers.

He was highly disoriented, partly blinded, covered in leeches, and suffering from gangrene when first responders winched him to an ambulance.

How he survived during record 113-degree heat is unclear, but he drank from a muddy creek as he lost nearly 90 pounds—about half his body weight.

The boy had simply left home with basic camping equipment and food supplies, leaving his cell phone behind.

He reportedly suffers from mental health problems: “He didn’t want to be found,” says a family friend. “He wanted to run away from his life.”

Teenage boy fell into open mine after “messing around”

Sexy teenage boy in speedo, shirtless, smooth chest

An unidentified teenager suffered serious injuries after a 100-foot fall into a quarry Tuesday night, and rescuers faced a difficult climb trying to get him to safety.

It appears that the boy and four of his friends skirted the fencing that surrounds the active gravel quarry owned by Pike Industries and were “messing around” at the top ledge of the quarry.

The boy, 17, apparently slipped and fell 100 feet to the cliff below, breaking bones and sustaining internal injuries.

Rescuers including firefighters from Lyndeborough, Wilton and Milford, and police and ambulance personnel from Wilton and Lyndeborough had to access the quarry from the Wilton side, Deware said, and then firefighters had to climb up a series of cliffs to get to where the boy was lying.

“The firefighters climbed up to him, strapped him to a backboard, and then climbed back down,” said Lt. Rainsford Deware of the Lyndeborough Police Department. “It wasn’t easy.”

When they got to the ground, a helicopter was waiting to fly the boy to UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Mass.

Deware said it hasn’t been determined yet whether there will be any charges filed against the boy or his friends, whom he said were all under 17 years old.

Runaway 11-year-old boy paddled away into dangerous water

11-year-old boy, shirtless with half-exposed ass

A missing schoolboy had to be dragged to safety after being spotted in the sea.

The alarm was raised after the 11-year-old truant was seen paddling on his own close to Central Pier at 9.20am yesterday.

Police were called to the scene and the boy was hauled to safety before being returned to his home.

Jen Newton, 29, was walking along the beach when she saw the boy in the waves about 15 metres from the beach. She alerted the police and talked to the boy while awaiting their arrival.

“I saw someone in the water and they were quite far out so it wasn’t normal,” she said.

The boy continued paddling in the sea parallel to the beach and was close to South Pier by the time he was picked up by police officers.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “We were looking for a boy who had left home this morning and was reported missing.”

“Our officers spotted him paddling in the sea and took him into our care before returning him home.”

Teen boy too fast for water slide – fell out

Young boy in speedos fell out of water slide

A teenager is hospitalized after a 60-foot fall from a Southern California water park slide.

The boy jumped the line of park guests, barged past lifeguards and leaped head-first instead of feet-first onto the Black Snake Summit water slide at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in the Valencia area.

He went over the side about half way down the 650-foot-long water slide.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s investigators say the boy has no broken bones and no internal injuries.

11-year-old boy survived night in the bush

Shirtless boy with smooth armpit

11-year-old James Regnier and three mates ventured down to the Arnold River after playing a football match.

On the way back, James - who was wearing only shorts and a singlet - missed the turn off to camp and was soon lost and disoriented.

“When it started to get dark, I found a bunch of ferns and pulled them together to keep me warm,” he said.

His spirits were raised when a helicopter flew overhead, but it was too dark to see him.

By now, James had decided to stay put, and try to keep warm in the undergrowth on the riverbank.

As dawn approached, he heard a dog barking and getting closer.

“It came right up to me and lay down right beside me,” he said. “I saw a couple of torches and asked who they were.”

“They said they were search and rescue and I was so relieved they found me. I tried to stand up but my legs were wobbly like jelly because I was so cold.”

The rescuers warmed up the young boy.
